Blood Ties DVD Release Date Back On For June 2nd?

First we heard that the release date for the season 1 US/Canada DVDs would be June 2nd. Then it was announced that the date was pushed back to June 23rd. Now we’re hearing that they will be available on the original June 2nd date!

Blood Ties DVD Release News

We finally have a release date, June 2nd, for the USA/Canada (i.e. Region 1) DVDs for the series!

Unfortunately, it’s not for the complete (22 episode) set. This release is for episodes 1-11 which is what Lifetime called “Season 1″. This information comes from the folks at TVShowsOnDVD.com. Here’s a small excerpt from their posting…

Eagle Vision and distributor Vivendi Entertainment have announced this morning that the 2006 series which aired on Lifetime will come home on DVD: “Blood Ties – The Complete Season 1″ arrives on June 2nd…this 4-disc set will run 615 minutes, and include all 11 first season episodes…A Behind-the-Scenes Featurette will also be included as a bonus.

Over on the Bloodlines forums member ‘Scribble’ from the Blood Ties production office posted an item on Monday entitled “DVD Release – Yes it is still happening“. Here’s what the posting said…

Hey Everybody:

So one off my loyal minions has alerted me to some rumours floating about stating that the North American DVD release is not happening and so I scurried over here as fast as I could to state that this info is incorrect. Everthing is still a go! We are just working out the details (artwork, etc) and the second we have any information I will let y’all know and it will be posted on the BT website.
